FalconsLOS FRESNOS – Last weekend was a trying one for the Los Fresnos Falcons, but that didn’t prevent them from pulling out all the stops and garnering a well-deserved win, 25-11, against the PSJA Bears.

Hoping to stay consistent with their game play, the Falcons will face-off with the McAllen Nikki Rowe Warriors in what is anticipated to be an eventful test of skill and tactic.

The Falcons, who brought their A-game last Friday, are looking to rack up some points against Nikki Row – this due to a very solid O-line and a double running back attack of Cris Galarza’s and Eduardo Ramirez.

Although the Falcon defense was called for a few illegal blocks throughout the game, they held the Bears back, rarely letting PSJA’s offense through. Defensive back Akeem Simien even managed an interception and returned it 36 yards all the way into the endzone, only to have an illegal block called on the play and the score erased.

The Falcon defense is sure to leave its opponents frustrated, sore, and tired. In a word, these 11 players are sure to put the pressure on the Warriors come Friday. Not likely to yield much ground to Nikki Rowe come next game time, the unit also possesses the ability to get after any quarterback that tries to break through their line, as was demonstrated against PSJA.

Looking for another win, the Falcons will play on their home turf this Friday in a match-up against McAllen Nikki Rowe.

Kick-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9.
