SINTON – Rio Hondo looks to bounce back after a tough loss in Edcouch-Elsa last week as they once again go on the road to face off against the Sinton Pirates this Friday.
Putting the loss behind them and using the experience gained from the match against the Yellow Jackets, the ’Cats (1-1) are eager to go out and show they are still a team to watch from the Valley.
Facing an out-of-valley team will be the perfect test to prove themselves as the Bobcats offense hope to put up more points on the board after only scoring two touchdowns last week, which is uncommon for this powerhouse.
Look for quarterback Juan Puga and company to come out strong and hitting the endzone often.
The Rio Hondo defense will also look to sharpen its guard after giving up a few big plays last week that changed the flow of the game.
Ready to redeem themselves, this fired up Bobcats defense hope to show people once again why teams have trouble scoring against the Rio Hondo. Sinton will also be bouncing back from a big loss last week after getting shutout offensively as the team looks for its first win of the season.
Sinton hosts the Bobcats on Friday, Sept. 9. Kick-off will be at 7:30 p.m.
