Reyna D. Escamilla (Dec. 29, 1922-June 8, 2011), 88, was born in Tampico, Mexico.
She lived in San Benito for 38 years. She died at home surrounded by family on June 8, 2011.
She is preceded in death by her husband Antonio Escamilla, son Juan Gilberto Escamilla, father Epitacio Castillo, and mother Ester Castillo.
She is survived by her children Maria Zuniga from San Antonio, Sara Luis from McAllen, Ester Escamilla from San Benito, Jesus Escamilla (great granson) from San Benito, Praxedes Escamilla from Pharr, Antonia Escamilla from McAllen, and Jose Luis Escamilla from McAllen.
Church services were held at San Juan Diego Church in McAllen.
Funeral services were in care of Del Angel Funeral Home in Mission. She was buried on Saturday, June 11 at 10 a.m. at Valley Memorial Garden in Mission.
