San Benito Lady Greyhound fans can catch a ride to the team’s next playoff game in Corpus Christi this Friday and support ResacaFest 2011 at the same time.
The city’s Special Events Board is sponsoring a bus to the regional semifinal game as a fundraising activity.
Round trip tickets from San Benito to the Corpus Christi game site are selling for $30, according to Special Events Board Chairman Victor Rosas. The bus will leave from Stookey Park at 2:30 p.m. Proceeds from the ticket sales will go to support ResacaFest 2011 activities, Rosas said. The ticket fare does not include the cost of the game ticket which can be purchased at the gate.
No alcohol will be allowed on the bus, and seating will be limited to 52 people. Deadline to purchase tickets for the Elite 8 playoff is Friday at noon. Arrangements may be made by contacting Victor Rosas at (956) 367-3448.
