A shark is on its way to San Benito.
Scratch that and make it, “The Shark.”
Former Dallas Cowboys football player Kenneth “Kenny” Gant will be at El Gallito Restaurant on Friday signing autographs and taking photographs with fans.
Gant, also known as “The Shark,” played with the Dallas Cowboys for five seasons, from 1990 to 1994. He is best known for his aggressiveness on the special teams and for simulating a shark’s fin during his on-field celebrations.
“I’m just coming in to show my face. I’ve got some distant family down in the Valley,” said Gant of his visit to San Benito. “This will be the first time that I’ve been in the Valley.”
Gant, who currently resides in Florida, said that he sporadically visits Texas, but mostly the Dallas- Fort Worth area.
