For Rene and Maria Yvette Muñoz, 15 years of marriage has been an adventure, almost like a road trip. Yet for the Muñozes, they wouldn’t want anyone else in the passenger seat than each other … well, maybe their two kids Rene Jr., 8, and Grisele, 6.
On Thursday, Rene, funeral director for San Benito Funeral Home, and his wife, Maria Yvette (who prefers to go by the name Yvette), sat down for an interview with the News and took a trip down memory lane, recalling all moments of their marriage and sharing the secrets of a long lasting relationship.
The following is a question and answer session between the two.
San Benito News:
First of all, when and how did the two of you meet?
Yvette Munoz:
We met in 1994 through mutual roommates. My roommate and his roommate were engaged.
