Two Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings baseball players visited the students from the Summer Recreation Program at Miller Jordan Middle School on Wednesday. Mickey Casidy and Andrew Dowl, both pitchers, took time out of their schedule to talk to the students about the importance of eating healthy and engaging in physical activity before challenging the students to try to hit wiffle balls tossed by the WhiteWings themselves. San Benito Basketball Hoops Camp

The Eighth Annual San Benito Basketball Hoops Camp was held at San Benito High School from Monday, June 13 through Thursday, June 16. Over 126 kids registered to participate in the basketball camp, the most in the camp’s eight years. The club, which was originally started by former Head Basketball Coach Roy Garcia, was held by Greyhound Head Basketball Coach Eddie Abrego for two years now.
