The San Benito Chamber of Commerce invites the community to attend a grand reopening ribbon cutting ceremony for Resaca Books and Gifts, the official gift store of the San Benito History Museum.
The entire gift shop has been renovated from what began as an old kitchen. “We gutted the kitchen, removed the wall and security system,” said Tootie Madden of the San Benito Historical Society. She added, “The school district was kind enough to do the work, and we paid for labor.”
“Along with our remodeling,” Madden continued, “we have three new display cases featuring Greyhound memorabilia, San Benito historical items, and items from businesses that no longer exist in San Benito. Two display cases came from Robert Salvia and contain items donated from Dolly Vinsant Memorial Hospital.”
