New events, music and family fun await residents and visitors alike at ResacaFest 2012, now in its sixth year as a community celebration recognizing the birth of the United States.
ResacaFest will be held Saturday, June 30 at the Heavin Resaca Trail in San Benito. Events will last from 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
A health and wellness fair, a Show and Shine motorcycle competition, and a 5-K Run and Walk are new additions to the already established line-up of continual music on both sides of the Resaca. Other traditional events include children’s activities, a patriotic dog and owner dress-alike contest, an arts and crafts market, a wide variety of food and beverage booths and a beer garden. A fireworks exhibit over the Resaca will be another highlight at 10 p.m.
