A San Benito guitarist’s talent has won him a spot in the “Battle of the Blues” district finals in Houston.
The “Battle of the Blues” is a competition that consists of three stages, all hosted and held by the Guitar Center store in Brownsville.
In each of the three stages, six to 10 blues guitarists compete for a chance to be declared the winner. Each competitor is given a backing track to accompany it. After each stage, two winners are chosen and the six winners then compete against each other for a chance to go to the district finals, which is scheduled in Houston for June 26.
