HARLINGEN – The San Benito Lady Greyhound softball squad began the 2012 season much like they ended 2011… kickin’ butt.
This past Monday, in what was a completely lopsided game in favor of the Lady ’Hounds, San Benito dispatched the Harlingen Lady Cards in a blowout performance with a final score of 10-0. This may have already sent a message that this year’s team should – once again – not be taking lightly.
Following the 2011 season in which the Lady ’Hounds were the darlings of region, not only winning District 32-5A but becoming the first Valley team to reach the Elite 8; it’s fair to say this young San Benito team has big shoes to fill.
