The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training is once again looking for recruits for their next two events.
One of the events, the Rock n’ Roll Marathon in San Diego, CA, is slated in June, but recruiting is already taking place. The event is divided into two levels: a full marathon of 26.2 miles and a half marathon of 13.1 miles, all the while being entertained with 55 bands and plenty of cheering crowds.
Before that, the Austin 10/20 run is scheduled in April and involves participants walking or running 10 miles, again while being entertained by local bands every half mile.
“We want as many participants to help out,” Team in Training participant Rebecca Galvan of San Benito said, encouraging the public to get involved. “Not only do we want to get enough people to form a team, but also to help each other to raise funds for the entire two trips.”
