LOS FRESNOS, TX—Belen Sauceda went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at the age of 82, at her home in Los Fresnos, Texas.
Belen was born in Cerritos S.L.P. Mexico. She was a member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Los Fresnos, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Francisco Sauceda, and a daughter, Rosa Maria Garza.
Belen is survived by her five daughters: Dolores (Abran) Ortega, Maria Luisa (Eliazar) Vasquez, Sara Sauceda-Martinez, Pita (Andy) Garcia, all of Los Fresnos, TX and Maria Dominga (Gilbert) Galvan of San Benito, TX; one sister Eluteria Mendez of Monterrey, Mexico, two brothers Juan Moreno of Houston, TX and Atanacio Moreno of Cerritos, S.L.P. Mexico.
Belen is also survived by 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends from Carino Day Care.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 1 p.m.-9 p.m., with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home in Los Fresnos.
A mass of resurrection was held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Los Fresnos. Interment followed to Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
