Witness statement released in Tumberlinson case

gavelClaims made in a witness statement taken during the investigation of the alleged assault of a seventh grade Berta Cabaza Middle School student indicate that the incident did not appear “out of the ordinary.”

Sandra Tumberlinson, longtime Berta Cabaza teacher and wife of current San Benito CISD Board Member Bob Tumberlinson, has pled not guilty to class “C” misdemeanor charges of “assault by physical contact” – allegations which stem from an Oct. 11 incident on campus as reported by the student’s mother, Mary Gonzalez.

  1. Your comment is the first we’ve received for this article, “Unanswered questions.” No “selective journalism” here. However, as an FYI, generally speaking we do indeed pick and choose what is posted on this website. Just not for the reasons you would have others believe. As is the rule with submitting letters to the editor, we ask that those who wish to leave us comments please refrain from attacking people personally. No obscenities, no name calling, and so on. In other words, use common sense.

  2. Wow! No responses to this news article, it is so obvious we are picking and choosing what is posted. Imagine when the right person gets a hold of your selective journalism!!!!!!!!!!
