In 1936, the Churches of Christ began an institution that originated from a simple idea of helping children and has since changed thousands of lives as a result
Indeed, Sunny Glen Children’s Home had much to celebrate during its 75th anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 5. The orphanage, which was moved from La Feria to San Benito in 1948, is known for its generosity and kindness towards housing foster children in need – most of whom come from abusive homes. And since 1936, Sunny Glen has housed over 7,000 children to be exact.
