Parking ordinance to impose $500 fine

The San Benito City Commission passed an ordinance prohibiting the placement of vehicles and/or signs on city property during their regular meeting Tuesday, Sept. 20.

The ordinance imposes a $500 fine every night someone parks on Sam Houston Boulevard between Expressway 83 and Business 77 during the hours of 10 p.m.-6 a.m. Sunday night to Friday morning and 11:30 p.m.-6 a.m. Friday night through Sunday morning.
