RIO HONDO – City Administrator Hipolito Cabrera has been placed on executive session for Tuesday night’s regular commission meeting, this after it was discovered that he did not disclose prior arrests for driving while intoxicated (DWI) on his application for employment, Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) records showed.
Mayor Alonzo Garza reported Friday evening that Cabrera was indeed placed on the agenda as a result of said arrests. According to the mayor, Cabrera was named in an executive session item in which members of the commission will “deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties and discipline of a public officer.”
