City of San Benito officials confirmed Friday that the Texas Municipal League (TML) settled this summer with former department heads Jaime Rosas and Sylvia Padilla in a lawsuit they filed against the city two years ago.
In the lawsuit, filed in the 357th Judicial District Court, Padilla claimed she was forced from her employment by the city manager in October of 2007 – when she served the city as human resources director – after he allegedly “decided that her pregnancy was incompatible with continued employment with the city.”
