For the first time in the town’s history, the City of Rio Hondo is looking at the possibility of a brand new building for their junior high school students. Starting with early voting this past Monday, Rio Hondo residents are now able to vote on a $20 million bond that would be used to build a brand new school for the Rio Hondo ISD. The District’s current junior high building is nearly a century old, although upgrades to the facility have been made over the course of that time.
