By the time you read this story, a new Interim Chief of Police may have already been named here in San Benito.
According to City Manager Manuel De La Rosa, he will announce the name of the new Interim Chief of Police sometime Wednesday afternoon through a press release.
The decision comes two weeks after the NEWS first reported that Chief of Police Martin Morales would be stepping down and taking on a lesser-ranked role with the department as a lieutenant.

Well i hope it’s a WISE CHOICE. AND IT’S INTERIM CHIEF OF OPERATIONS NOT INTERIM CHIEF OF POLICE. THEIR IS A BIG DIFFERENCE.
