Street repairs, or rather street disrepair, is a hot topic amongst San Benitians.
As previously reported in the San Benito News, at least one San Benito City Commissioner – Joe D. Gonzalez, Place 4 – requested that Schneider Rd. be added to a January meeting agenda. Gonzalez said he retracted his request after learning that City Manager Manuel Lara had requested the same private road, alongside two other private streets, be added to the same agenda.
Gonzalez said, “I took (Schneider Rd.) off the agenda because I saw Lara had already put it on the list.”
