Three Cameron County communities prepare to send off their graduating seniors in ceremonies at the end of the month.
Rio Hondo High School P-TECH
On May 30, at 8 p.m., Rio Hondo High School P-TECH will honor approximately 120 graduates at Bobcat Stadium, located behind the high school. No tickets are required, and the event is free and open to the public. Parking is also free, and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
District guidelines include a “clear bag policy,” no balloons, and a requirement that any gift boxes must be transparent.

Los Fresnos High School
On May 24, Los Fresnos graduating seniors will be honored at Leo Aguilar Memorial Stadium, located off of Hwy 100 in Los Fresnos. The ceremony is set to begin at 7:30 p.m., with gates opening at 6 p.m.
Approximately 800 seniors will graduate.
Tickets are not required, and seating is on a “first come, first served” basis, according to district officials. Spectators may bring gifts as long as they do not block the view of other guests. The stadium’s “clear bag policy” will be in effect for all attendees.
Drones, confetti, and confetti poppers are prohibited. The event will be livestreamed on the district’s YouTube channel starting at 7:15 p.m.
In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held Sunday, May 25.

San Benito High School
According to a post made to the district’s official Facebook page, San Benito High School will celebrate the Class of 2025 on Friday, May 30, at 7:30 p.m. at Bobby Morrow Stadium.
The ceremony will also be livestreamed via KSBGTV, with a link shared through the school’s Facebook page for those unable to attend in person. The venue’s “clear bag policy” will be enforced. Graduation class size was not provided at press time.
