LOS FRESNOS, TX—According to a Cameron County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) report, on Monday, January 1, 2024, at approximately 4 a.m., Cameron County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence here, regarding an alleged aggravated assault.
Upon arrival, Sheriff’s Deputies made contact with a 38-year-old male reported victim who had a laceration on the forehead. The victim, as well as others at the party, identified Irineo Gomez as being the alleged assailant.
Sheriff’s Deputies immediately took Gomez into custody.
Deputies re-established contact with the said victim while he received treatment by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) who were called to the scene.
