The San Benito Police Department (SBPD) is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the male subject in the photos. The male subject allegedly stole approximately $259 from the local Jack in The Box restaurant located on Sam Houston Blvd. this past Sunday, May 7, 2023, at around 1:51 p.m.
According to a SBPD report, when the cashier opened the register, the male allegedly reached over the counter and grabbed money before fleeing the area.
The male was last seen traveling northbound on Expressway 83 toward Harlingen. The subject arrived at the store in a silver-colored, four-door Chevy, possibly a Malibu or Cruze, with a damaged front bumper.
A passenger in the vehicle was noted but is also unidentified.
