The holidays are fast approaching, and those wanting to spend some quality time with their families can check out a variety of events this year.

Below are some of the Valley-wide celebrations to help our fine readers enjoy the season of festivities:

San Benito

– San Benito Parade of Lights, 6 p.m., Dec. 13 in Downtown San Benito. For more information, call (956) 361-3800.  Spectators encouraged to being canned food donations.

– A Community Christmas, begins at 11 a.m. on Dec. 6 at the Heavin Resaca Amphitheater. Featuring area school choirs performing Christmas favorites.
