The City of San Benito is still researching applicants for city attorney.
“There’s going to be a process on it,” said Mayor Jack Garcia. “The first thing is that Mr. (Manuel) Lara (city manager) is going to provide us with a set of questions based off of input we have given to him, like a template. We’ve given him some direction in relation to the higher process. Once that is completed, then we’ll be conducting interviews one on one. At that point, we’ll come back and make a decision.”
As for when a final decision will be made by the city commission, Garcia said there is as of presstime no timeline.
“We wanted Mr. Lara to do his side first, when he’s ready then he’ll contact us,” Garcia said.
