Sanchez wields vast knowledge of tamale making

Celeste Zepeda Sanchez has an idea of what tamales should taste like.

They should have the perfect blend of masa (tamale dough), meat and spices, explained the Place 4 San Benito City Commissioner and San Benito CISD Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction.

Like education and city government, Sanchez said she knows a thing or two about making tamales; after all, she comes from a long line of proud cooks.
