SAN BENITO—Patricia Ruth Roberts Allen, 91, died peacefully Sunday, February 16 at home under the care of Odyssey Hospice.
Patsy was born on November 17, 1922 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Paul Keith Cramblet and Helen (Yorg) Cramblet Erwin.
She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas and Durham’s Business College in Harlingen. She had worked as an executive secretary at the Draft Board office in San Benito, and retired as a legal secretary for a Harlingen law firm. Patsy was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Barbara Cramblet, her husband O.A. “Boone” Roberts, her second husband Fred M. Allen, and a great-grandson Kelton Clayton.
Patsy is survived by son George Roberts of Synder, TX; daughters Nancy (Roberts) Knight of Headland, AL; and Barbara Roberts Smith of San Benito, TX; stepchildren Melvin Allen of Jupiter, FL; and Barbara Allen of Exeter, MO; five grandchildren, 2 step-granchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, and nephew A.C. Roberts of Dallas, TX and Weslaco, TX.
A private graveside will be held on Saturday, March 8 at 10 a.m. at Mont Meta under the direction of Henry Thomae Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be that afternoon at 2 p.m. at Treasure Hills Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Treasure Hills Presbyterian Church, American Bible Society, or Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
