police picSan Benito police are continuing to investigate a break-in that occurred at LT Boswell, located on the 1400 block of W. Business Highway 77.

The break-in occurred between 9 p.m. on Monday and 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday morning. “We’re not 100 percent sure how they went in, but there is speculation because there was a slit in the fence on the south side by a nearby credit union,” said Lieutenant Martin Morales, Jr. of the San Benito Police Department. “They made their way into the compound, and once inside the compound they made entry into the main business building where they have all the staff.”

According to Morales, the suspects made entry through the back door of the building, and once inside the business they approached a safe in one of the large offices. He said that they dragged it to an open area and knocked it over, and then they used a sort of crowbar to pry the metal bars open.
