SBCISD responds to notice

The San Benito School District quickly responded to the Military Highway Water Supply Corporation’s recommendation regarding the boil water notice issued on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

According to a statement but the SBCISD, preparations are being made to ensure that all students and staff have access to safe, drinkable water.

This applies to all campuses served by the Military Highway Water Supply Corporation, including: Rangerville Elementary, Judge Oscar De La Fuente Elementary, La Encantada Elementary, La Paloma Elementary, Angela G. Leal Elementary, and Riverside Middle School.

Bottled water will be available for students and staff, and all Child Nutrition Program staff will receive the water needed for food preparation and operational purposes, according to the statement.

San Benito Schools will stay in contact with the Military Highway Water Supply Corporation to receive updates on water testing results and approval for water use, the statement went on to read.

The boil water notice issued by the Military Highway Water Supply Corporation applies only to the campuses listed above. All other district campuses and facilities are supplied by the City of San Benito’s water system, which has not issued a boil-water notice, according to school district officials.

School will operate as usual on Tuesday, December 2nd, and throughout the rest of the week at all district campuses and facilities.
