NEWS Staff Report
The San Benito Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Casino Night event on November 7, 2024, from 6-10 p.m. at Oak Hill Event Center, U.S. 77 1780, San Benito.
According to Chamber officials, the Chamber organizes its annual Casino Night as a fundraising event to assist its monetary needs and help provide supplies for its business members, adding that the event is growing bigger and better each year.
In 2020, the Chamber and other local businesses closed due to COVID-19, which caused the Chamber’s membership to decline. Now in 2024, it is seeing tremendous development due to new businesses emerging in the Resaca City and the efforts of the Chamber’s board of directors, and the community’s overall growth and support.
Community members interested in supporting the event can purchase individual tickets for the evening, help sponsor the event in exchange for publicity and event tables.
“This highly anticipated event is the largest Casino Night ever held in San Benito. We invite everyone to partake in a night brimming with lively music, thrilling games, enticing raffles, and a plethora of joyous activities. It promises to be an unforgettable experience for all attendees,” says San Benito Chamber of Commerce Director Michelle Guerra Velez.
“A significant portion of the funds raised during this event will be reinvested into our community,” she added. “These contributions support local small businesses and assist young high school students in San Benito in furthering their education (through scholarships distributed by the Chamber at the conclusion of the school year). As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your attendance and participation are vital to our mission.”
Businesses interested in sponsoring or donating gift baskets as prizes for Casino Night can contact the Chamber at (956) 626-2559, or visit the Chamber’s website at www.chamberofsanbenito.com.
