The local Huddle House location recently suffered a theft of plants that adorned the establishment’s front parking area.

Two men, seen in the adjacent photo, were caught on a security camera and are believed to have perpetrated the alleged theft. Restaurant management is hoping exposure of these two individuals will lead to their apprehension.

An employee of the Huddle House reported finding the flowerbed missing its flowers. Mere days later, he saw what appeared to be the culprits helping themselves to more and leaving the scene, all in broad daylight. Ricardo Perez, the person who posted about the incident on his Facebook page, expressed frustration for the responsible parties. “We work hard to get this city a place to go and eat,” stated Perez.

The San Benito eatery is in its early-stage of opening and when it opens completely, it will be on the south side of I-69 and Frontage, at the Sam Houston exit. Originally announced in February, the Huddle House was met with excitement from Rio Grande Valley (RGV) residents everywhere. The San Benito location marks the only one of its kind in the RGV area.

According to its website, the Huddle House specializes in all-American food that aims to satisfy the customer’s want for a home cooked meal. According to their website, they are for “Anyone who doesn’t need the next trendy thing.” Their menu consists of delicacies such as the “Classic Huddle Breakfast” and the “El Grande ‘Rito.”

Individuals with tips leading to the arrest of the persons involved in the theft are asked to call the San Benito Police Department at (956) 361-3880.

And people say why this town .. yes town..it’s certainly not a city.

Back to my comment…. why this town doesn’t progress. Idiots, thieves, crooks , nepotism, favoritism.

    That’s really…for kinder term…really “messed up.”..
