LOS FRESNOS—Cameron County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Deputies responded to a number of area calls this past week, resulting in three arrests in separate incidents.
TIP LEADS TO ARREST
On April 19, 2023, investigators of the CCSO Special Investigations Unit were conducting surveillance on a residence suspected of housing narcotics in the Los Fresnos area.
The information on the residence was provided through the Cameron County Crime Stoppers Hotline.
During the surveillance, CCSO Investigators observed a vehicle leaving the residence. After probable cause was obtained, a CCSO Deputy initiated a traffic stop and interviewed the driver. The driver was identified as, Gracie Quintero, 34-years-old.
According to a CCSO statement, after an initial interview, Quintero confessed she had drugs inside her residence and granted consent for the Investigators to conduct a search. At the residence, Investigators located 6.7 ounces of Marijuana and two grams of Cocaine. Quintero was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Quintero was transported and booked into the Carrizalez-Rucker Detention Center in Olmito. An investigation is ongoing.
