On Tuesday, April 19, 2022, Cameron County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to Montalvo Dr. in San Benito in reference to a family disturbance. The Sheriff’s patrol division learned that Carlos Ernesto Castro allegedly used his motor vehicle to crash into the victim’s vehicle and threatened to kill the victim and his three children if she informed law enforcement.
The Cameron County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division obtained multiple warrants for Castro and performed surveillance at multiple locations. On May 2, 2022, Castro was taken into custody during a traffic stop. He was transported to the Carrizales/Rucker Detention Center where he was booked for said warrants.
In reference to another case, on Sunday, May 1, 2022, Selman Munoz allegedly attempted to enter the United States via the Los Indios International Bridge, in Los Indios.
