A newly remodeled area, specially dedicated to children, was unveiled at the San Benito Public Library on Thursday.
With colorful youth-sized tables, chairs, storage carts and shelving end-caps that resembled buildings, Library Director Gerardo Salazar welcomed officials, city staff and members of his Library Board to participate in the grand reveal.
“The design, planning and implementing of the remodeling of the children’s area has been in the works for two years,” Salazar said.
“Replacement of plain shelf end panels with new attention getting ones, new carpeting, furniture and new shelving signage compose the new children’s area,” he added.
