The San Benito Greyhounds will be celebrating their homecoming game this Friday against Harlingen South.
And as we all know, with a homecoming game comes a homecoming parade and this year is no different.
Despite reports of possible rain, the San Benito CISD has no intention of cancelling Thursday’s parade and encourages everyone to come out and support the community.
The parade will start at 5:30 p.m. on the North end of Sam Houston Boulevard. The Greyhound Football team will be the last group to come out at the parade, which will be immediately followed by a trip to old Greyhound stadium for the annual “Lighting of the SB.” Every year, the lighting of the SB is looked at as one of the most memorable moments of the season.
