A San Benito woman was arrested early Monday morning after reportedly trying to pick up her baby from her ex-mother-in-law while intoxicated. Linda LeeAnn Martinez, 24, is currently in Cameron County jail after failing to post the $29,000 bond for charges of Burglary of Habitation, Child Endangerment, and Assault Family Violence.
According to police, Martinez had left the baby with her ex-mother-in-law and attempted to pick up her child around 12:20 a.m. on Monday morning, but when the mother-in-law noticed that Martinez was intoxicated, she refused to give her the child. “She forced her way into the residence and assaulted someone trying to take her child back,” said San Benito assistant Police chief Michael Galvan. “That’s when the police were called.”
The mother-in-law told police that Martinez kept trying to grab the baby by the waist and pull it away from her but she did not feel comfortable since Martinez was visibly drunk. After repeatedly telling Martinez that she would not give her the baby, Martinez assaulted the ex-mother-in-law, police said.

Well you all are the experts and quick to publish. All I can tell is that charges have been dropped. She’s a free woman. Thank you Jesus Christ.
