A little over two weeks after San Benito firefighters responded to an apartment complex fire that was reportedly started by arsonists, another fire broke out early Tuesday morning and is also being treated as a case of arson. According to Operations Fire Chief Raul Zuniga, firefighters and police responded to a call at approximately 2:41 a.m. in an area known locally as “La Palma.”
The incident occurred at the corner of La Palma and Ernestina St. and involved a 2008 Kenworth Tractor, which caught blaze and was a total loss with an estimated worth value of $60,000, according to reports.
