Ruel R. Barrientes

Ruel R. Barrientes, 45, formally of San Benito, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at his residence in Corpus Christi.
He graduated from San Benito High School in 1988 and then attended UTB and Southern Careers Institute where he received his certification as a Medical Office Specialist. Ruel loved the Lord and shared the love of Jesus and always made time to greet friends everywhere and will be dearly missed. His love for the San Benito Grey Hounds always brought him down for the Battle of the Arroyo.
Ruel is preceded in death by his parents; Jose T. and Dolores R. Barrientes.
Left to cherish his memories are his siblings: Rachel (Domingo) Santana; Robert Barrientes and his son Chris Barrientes; Rosie (Ralph) Ramirez and Ruby V. (Dean) Barrera; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
Chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Thomae Garza Funeral Home. With burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are John Barrientes, David Cortez, Rene Garcia, Gustavo Roux, Jorge A. Melgoza and Jesus Aguilera.
