Lady ‘Hound grapplers look to shine at Regionals

SAN ANTONIO — For the eighth straight season, San Benito is well-represented at the Region-IV wrestling championships in the Alamo City.

This year, five Lady ’Hound wrestlers and one alternate advanced to the regional tournament, which is again being held at the Blossom Athletic Center this weekend.

Junior Christy Satterfield took the 16-6A championship in the 102-lb. division to secure her spot in regionals. Satterfield was a state alternate last year.

In the 110-lb. division, Esmeralda Rodriguez, a sophomore, took third in district to advance to regionals.
