Margarita G. Lopez, of Harlingen, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on February 1, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Basilio Lopéz; her daughter, Felipa Lopéz; her mother, Maria Antonia Lopéz; her father, Guadalupe Garcia; and her brother, Ventura Garcia.
Surviving her are her sons and daughters: Edelmira Cerdan, Gregoria De La Cruz, Maria Magdalena Garcia, Olga Garza, Jose Lopéz, Maria Delia Delgado, Nereida Covarrubias, Armando Lopéz, Gerardo Lopéz, Hector Lopéz, Basilio Arturo Lopéz, and Sonia Aguilar; four sisters: Guadalupe Garcia, Maria Olga Castillo, Maria Isabel Castillo, Joaquina Castillo; and one brother, Amado Castillo; 55 grandchildren; 128 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren, as well as other relatives.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a service at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
A chapel service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at San Benito City Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers: Hector Lopéz, Gerardo Lopéz, Basilio Arturo Lopéz, Jose Lopéz, Armando Lopéz, Senovio Cerdan, Jose Guadalupe Covarrubias, Jose Dagoberto Lopéz, and Gerardo Lopéz, Jr.
