Lieutenant Brenda Lopez with the Combes Police Department said, “The child made an outcry back in October … We investigated, and it led up to Oliva’s arrest.”
Oliva was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Guadalupe Ayala on Friday, where he was charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child, a 1st Degree Felony. His bond was set at $135,000.
The accused reportedly works for the City of Harlingen and said he has selected a private attorney to represent him in this case.
