Patsy Hernandez, 15, of Paducah, KY, and a native of the Rio Grande Valley of Texas passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at her residence.

Patsy was a student at McCracken County High School and a member of the McCracken County High School Football Team. She was a member of Salt and Light Community Church. She was loved by everyone that met her, as she had a personality that out-shined her beautiful smile.

Ms. Hernandez is survived by her mother, Jannette Griffin of San Benito, TX; stepfather, Victor Garcia of San Benito, TX; her father Michael D. (Erica Muniz) Hernandez of San Benito, TX; five brothers, Eric Rey Gonzalez and Matthew David Garcia of San Benito, TX; Michael D. Hernandez, Benjamin Hernandez and Jesus Hernandez of San Benito, TX; maternal grandparents Mary Butler of Waco, TX and Willard “Butch” (Vickie) Armour of Paducah; paternal grandmother, Ester Rivera Hernandez of San Benito, TX; paternal grandfather, Luciano Hernandez of Odessa, TX; paternal great-grandmother, Martina Hernandez of Harlingen, TX; maternal great-grandmother, Kathy Hannah, TN; three aunts, Trish (Joe) Hebert of TX; Cynthia Hernandez Nordin and Melissa (Gill Jay Grienier) Rivera, all of San Benito, TX; three uncles Scott (Jenny) Hannah of AR, Miles Heaton of TX and Chris (Nora) Hernandez of San Benito, TX; and 24 cousins.

She was preceded in death by her namesake and great-grandmother; Patsy Wilkinson; maternal grandfather, Reyburn David Heaton; paternal great-grandparents, Felix and San Juana G. Rivera of San Benito, TX; maternal great-grandfather, Fletcher Hannahl and her great-uncle, Ignacio Salinas, Jr.
