The San Benito Lady ’Hounds will take on San Antonio Southwest in a best-of-three series slated for this weekend in Kingsville.

The San Benito Lady ’Hounds have advanced to the Sweet 16 in the playoffs, but in order to make it to the Elite Eight, they will first have to go through a tough San Antonio Southwest team this weekend.

The Lady ’Hounds (27-4) are making their sixth trip to the regional semifinals, otherwise known as Sweet 16 due to the same number of teams that remain in the playoffs, and are facing a Lady Dragons (31-9) team they’re familiar with, having met on two occasions with each game being decided by one run.

“This is the sixth time in our history that we’ve been this far,” explained San Benito head softball coach Elias Martinez. “It’s a great honor getting there again. It speaks volumes of our girls and our city league program and the coaches that work with them during the offseason. It’s attributed to everybody.”

All I have to say to you Joevette is you have no class for posting your comment. How would you feel if one of these young ladies was related to you in some way? What you should be doing is giving these Lady Hounds some respect for advancing to where they did. By your comment I see where your from, but that doesn’t give you the right to write what you did. You wonder why this the kids nowadays have no respect or morals when they have people like you teaching the wrong things to do and say. To the Lady Hounds great job in advancing to where you did, hold your heads up high you represented San Benito High School with dignity and respect, and have nothing to be ashamed about.

Looks like JOEVETTE hit the wine a little hard Saturday night (12:51am & 12:54am post times).

Glad to see that in the middle of the night you stop everything you do so that you can submit the comments you do.

“puro llorar” – sounds like that’s exactly what you were doing when you posted these two comments.

you need to get rid of one of your ‘T’s, and VETE!
