SBHS Winterguard, Drumline awarded first, second at TECA

Members of the San Benito High School Band received awards over the weekend at a state marching competition.

The SBHS Winterguard and Winter Drumline competed at the TECA (Texas Educational Colorguard Association) Competition on Saturday, March 22, in New Braunfels.

“The Winterguard got first place in their classification, and the drumline got second place in their classification,” said SBHS Head Band Director Willie Perez.

    Very proud of these kids! We heard great compliments in the stands from total strangers. Thanks to the instructors for driving them to such success!

    Super proud of these kids! I have watched them working their fingers to the bone since November, and they deserve the recognition they are now receiving! =)
