Despite struggling with a rare condition that affects one’s eyesight, a local pianist’s fight now has a soundtrack, and she’ll be performing it at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, at First Presbyterian Church, located at 566 N. Reagan St. in San Benito.

Lupita Z. Abrego’s CD, entitled “My Miracle,” was released on Dec. 29 and features a collection of songs that she plays on Sundays at the aforementioned church.

“These are songs that I play for special music during worship every Sunday,” explained Abrego, who also works as the church’s Administrative Secretary. “I figured that if somebody can get some kind of spiritual help, it’s not only on Sunday mornings. Now they can get it through my music anytime.”
