Humane Society at risk of closing its doors

HARLINGEN – The Harlingen Humane Society is at risk of shutting down next month due to what was described as “financial pressure.”

“At this point, we do have enough in our budget to get us through to the end of February, but we are trying to get donors to step up and help us out,” said Kim Wornack, Executive Director for the Humane Society. “Worst case scenario is that we would have to shut the doors.”
