Monday was their day.
Dozens of American flags lined downtown Sam Houston Boulevard as San Benito’s veterans marched toward the San Benito Veterans Memorial, where a ceremony was held.
Represented during a ceremony were veterans of every American campaign going back to World War II.
It was one of many ceremonies that would be held throughout the community and the country as Veterans Day was observed.
