McALLEN — When a team doesn’t get a break here or there, it makes it that much more difficult to knock off an unbeaten team.

The San Benito Greyhounds found this out first hand on Friday night.

Going toe-to-toe most of the way with the undefeated McHi Bulldogs, the ’Hounds fought valiantly and fell just short in a 35-28 loss at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

In the 3 district losses for the Hounds this year, SB won the statistical battle, just not on the scoreboard. Just an observation,

Our boys did more than line up against a very talented mcallen team, they played their hearts out so give credit where credit is due. I’m not one to question the officiating because its a tough job for any one but anyone who knows football will tell you that the Greyhounds were on the short end on some very crucial game changing situations. last night is in the past and congrats to the bull dogs and they’re coaching staff for a job well done, Comments and opinions are expressed every day but unless you’ve played under the friday night lights in game time situation keep you’re arm chair quarterback opinions to you’re self.

    1. What do you not understand about fridays night lights? And what is a Beccerra? Can it win games?

  1. I guess that’s all the Greyhounds did against the Bulldogs was line up against them. Most teams will just play up to the Greyhounds tempo to beat them. SB has no coaching that sets the players tempos to play to win. But if you drive the boys to hard GREYHOUND MOMMIES will complain. Yes someday it will be possible not to have practices just conditioning during off season a little run through on your plays study your game book watch films on your opponents during the week and get ready mentally to play by doing all your reps mentally and go out there on a Fridays night and win games. Football will no longer be a game for Weak Links or Losers. Happy Hollowen ! They did the Bobby Pickett’s “Monster Mash”
