A fishing pier located at the south end of the resaca remains closed off from public access by the City of San Benito due to erosion. It has been three months since officials planned to make the necessary repairs.
The city has yet to go out for bids for repairs on the pier, according to Assistant City Manager Hector Jalomo.
“Now that the new budget year has started, yes, something is going to be done to it,” Jalomo said Tuesday. “Exactly when? I’m not sure, but something will be done.”
